Why assessment matters
Car Hire Is Available to Eligible Learners
The car cannot be booked solely because a test is approaching. Your driving must be safe and suitable, the legal requirements must be met, and the vehicle must be available for your appointment.
Manual Driving Experience
You must be able to drive a manual car safely and confidently enough for test-day use.
Driving Assessment
An assessment may be required before car hire can be confirmed. Safety comes before the booking.

Does the €130 car-hire price include a pre-test lesson?
No. The €130 option is manual car hire for the driving test only. The combined manual car-hire and pre-test option is €190.
Can I hire an automatic car for my driving test?
No. Test-car hire is currently manual only. We can provide automatic pre-test lessons when you use your own suitable automatic car.
Can anybody book the manual test car?
No. Car hire is for eligible learners and is subject to driving standard, assessment, legal requirements and availability.
Why might an assessment be required?
The instructor must be satisfied that you can use the manual car safely and appropriately for the driving test. The assessment protects the learner, instructor and vehicle.
Is the car automatically reserved when I send an enquiry?
No. An enquiry lets us check suitability and availability. Your booking is not confirmed until this has been agreed directly with us.
Do you guarantee that I will pass?
No professional instructor can guarantee a pass. We provide a suitable service for eligible learners and focused preparation designed to support safe, consistent driving.
